The ability to make emergency roadside tire repairs is the difference between a fee minute delay and being “stuck” for a protracted period. The latter is not an option. I’ll never again own any new bike with tube tires. (Just an aside, a Yamaha Super Tenere has tubeless tires and spoke wheels, so it “can” be done)

Dec 12, 2022. #2. IMHO, I think tubeless is overkill for a Himalayan. The main advantage of tubeless aside from being lighter, is one can run a proper TPS system built into the valve stem. If you wanted tubeless, you'd pretty much have to find a tubeless wheel hoop and get that laced onto a Himalayan hub. The Ténéré 700 features a fuel-injected, 689cc liquid-cooled, inline twin-cylinder engine derived from Yamaha’s award-winning MT-07. This compact powerplant features an ideal power delivery for adventure riding, for tractable and controllable power on road or off. ADVENTURE-FOCUSED ERGONOMICS. Ub27mS.
